The Fellowship Camp:

Glad that everything went well for the whole camp...Got to really thank God for making such a camp possible and must add that the weather for us was PERFECT!

All the campers has shown great courage and perseverance throughout the camp and i am very much delighted! From the feedback i have received, all perceived the first day as 'fun' and 'interesting' citing that the beach activities were 'creative' and 'innovative'. Teamwork and cooperation are the key to those games and you really showed that you can make it! Although you have to walk, run and dance the whole day, many did not give up easily. Basically that was our intention: to keep you occupied throughout the first day until the wee hours (3 am). The idea was to see if you can persevere onwards. The night walk ARP1(walk of the rings) was to build your trust and courage hence we dispatch you in pairs into the swamp, providing only candles and pin-hole torchlight. We did not provide spoon as well so as to make you think of ways to eat. We also decided to have spinach fried rice (idea was to have lots of vegs as i know many youngsters do not like it) but it turned out that it was a good meal. The idea of hobbit's dance was to keep you occupied throughout the camp so that you will have no free time.

The second day, according to the log book, was the best day of the camp. That was because of the ARP2/3 and BBQ.  Almost all the campers found ARP2 as the best activity of the camp, and boy are we glad! The CIs and I had spent about an entire afternoon at that venue receeing in the pouring rain! In addition, the beautiful bridge was sort of 'discovered' accidentally. Now that we know that it was so well-received, perhaps we will incorporate that into our programme every year! ARP3 was supposedly to be building you in terms of confidence, independence and teamwork. That was why we left you alone without us. Picking of litter was not an embarassment but to make sure you value our cleaners. The BBQ was terrific! The camaradarie you have exhibited by doing the work together (especially the sec 3s) really impressed me so much so that i couldnt stop similing that HSCNPCC is indeed something! Kudos to the sec 3s! The sec 2s must continue that tradition!

The third day was the most tiring according to most of you, but of course since you could only sleep at 8 am. Many found the pt and 'up size' pt innovative and creative: so glad that wilson and kelly can think of such fun pt. lunch was delicious even though it was maggie mee and many thought of innovative ways to cook it. nap was appropriate. the dinner was the most spirited one i have ever seen - the other being our 2002 annual camp and celebration. we must keep that spirit burning!! The tour was actually bringing you to see various parts of Singapore that you have never been to at night. Sharing and reflections were meant to bring you closer to us. I must admit that many slept during the show including me. hence perhaps the show would be better to be allocated after dinner.

The hobbits really impressed me greatly. Thanks to you. I am also very glad that we have the hobbits' dance, as the few batches before you (ernest's batch and roszian's batch) couldnt gave me that even though i had requested for it. thanks!! we will term that our HSCNPCC Hobbits' Dance. That will be one of our tradition.

I have been nagging throughout the camp as well. Apologies to CIs and Miss Karen for enduring my incessant naggings. I really want the camp to procede smoothly. I guess CI TM really received most of my nags until he couldnt take it (perhaps he did not dare to say to me). Thanks to all CIs, karen, irvin, marcus, joel, patrick for making this camp such a SUCCESS!!

Hope all of you like the gifts!! i got the bookmark especially from overseas from my friend. The pressure ball was discovered by chance at IKEA and the photos was meant to be a surprise. there will still be a final gift to be given to all this BBQ at Downtown. Be sure to be there!
