2004 Sec One Orientation Camp (NPCC), 2004 Sec Three NCO Modular Camp

Head (Sec One Camp): Timothy Jefferson
Vice Head: Jasper Ng; Qing Long

Head (Sec Three): Shaun
Vice Head: Shermain, Huiting, Huiping

The Sec One Orientation Camp was held on 14th - 15th Feb over at Pulau Ubin. In addition, the Sec Three also conducted their Sec Three NCO Modular Camp (one component of the NCO Course) at the same place. A total of 32 NCOs-in-training and 38 Sec Ones attended the events. Great attendance by the Sec Threes.

The Sec One Camp was led by Timothy Jefferson while Sec Three Camp was conducted by Shaun. In addition, many NCOs volunteered their help in these camps. Considering that it was V-Day, they still decided to sacrifice their weekend to have a 'date' with NPCC.

Programmes were well done and planned. They had pt, 'mini' campfire, games and trekking, amongst other activities. Although there were some confusion on the first evening, due to misunderstandings, the camps were very well organised, in my opinion.

Quarrels and misunderstandings form part and parcel in leadership training and organisational planning. Through these camps, the NCOs learn what to do and how to be flexible to meet the needs of the changing circumstances. Always learn from mistakes, and then move on. The experiences garnered from the organisation and running of these camps will only serve you better in future.

Thanks to all the participants and NCOs for making these camps a success. CIs played a great part, including 'SJAB import' Alvin who was our medical officer. Remember: No pain, no gain. Remember all the learning points of these camps and move on. Dont ever let go of Hai Sing NPCC Spirit : Hai Sing Spirit never falls!!!

We share the same blood blue, remember??

Let's brainstorm ways to make HSCNPCC a stronger unit.
